Bike Survey

I just found a survey for biking within Brandon Here.

Maybe this will help things, maybe it won't, but it only takes a few seconds to do. I truly don't think it's that bad of a place to ride but if the survey is useful..... riding in B-town could get better.

WNR

Cold one tonight... What bikes to ride?

Shall we do some river trails on the cx bikes, or mostly city stuff? This also depends on crashing at my place for a few beers after, (in the basement) or heading out to the patio... (if it's patio, you know what I'll be riding!) I can bring the spare light for the dude who just got back from from Paris so he doesn't get lost.

Decision made: Cross bikes/river trails/curbside beer.. unless someone has freeze issues, then... my place.

7:00 at the meeting spot.

BBC at Altona Cross

3 racers + 1 superfan/driver/keeper of the sanity made the trip in to the Cross race this weekend. (It was a Loong drive, or so our driver thought.)

The car looked like some kind of Euro-pro deal with all the bikes up top.

Start Of B Race.

Sand Masters

More BBC stellar-ness!

We had a good day with Carl 3rd and Mike 5th in the Licensed B's, and Me with a 6th in the A's.
GREAT EVENT ABES!

7 o'clock at QE park as per usual... I say cross/mtb bikes, and lights. Lets hit some gravel/hills, river trails before we end up somewhere new... with some sweet company.

Muderrific!

After driving through a snow storm Friday night to find 3 inches of snow in Winnipeg, it was clear I was going to have my first "real" cross experience. Mud, cold, snow, mud. The course was sweet and, thankfully, no bog.

Lots of mud though.

Kept it right side up all the way home. Some dodgy moments, though. Great race! Great course! New highlight of my short cross career! Bike cleaning has turned into an all night event but the beer helps.

Bourkevale Cyclocross

The organizers did a sweet job at this race.. fun layout, short laps, good times. Mike and I arrived there way early, so we had plenty of time to veg. Mike put on a stellar performance, coming in 5th in the B's, and I had a pretty good race in the A's (4th place).

Here are some pics, thanks to David Lipnowski.

Cap Order?

During the intense conversation at the patio on Wednesday, The idea of ordering some caps was brought up. I like This Place, and they do customs as well.... what do you like? BBC logos? Plain? Lemme Know.

If I make it to Altona, I'll check out their caps.. but I'm afraid they will be all gone by the time I get there. If I don't arrive, Mike will be there for sure, so he will be the cap man.

Sounds like Carl and I are leaving this junk at home. It'll be an easier ride, with us on the fixies. 7:00 at the entrance to QE Park. Should leave us a bit of daylight. Finish at the usual place for some spicy hot wings!
